The Indian government has suspended tariff concessions on 30 us imports in response to us tariffs on steel and aluminium. These include motorcycles, certain steel products, boric acid and lentils, with tariffs worth about $240 million. India has told the world trade organisation that the proposal to suspend tariff concessions is based on a us tax, in the form of a us-sponsored tax on certain goods. India would like to clarify that the value of the goods subject to the suspension of tariff concessions is equal to that of India affected by us tariffs. India also reserves the right to suspend tariff concessions on more goods.
